AVADA Review and Interview


AVADA has a variety of apps that have been specially developed for eCommerce stores. Keeping up-to-date with all the latest eCommerce trends, AVADA aims to provide ease and simplicity when carrying out tasks such as SEO, tracking orders, social marketing, and email marketing.

AVADA was founded by Mr Sam Thomas, who was kind enough to answer my interview questions for this review.

The Beginning Of AVADA

Established in 2019, Avada is a relatively new business. However, Sam has plenty of experience in the industry, having already established a widely-popular Magento extension builder; Mageplaza. Sam told me about the beginning of AVADA:

“AVADA was first established in the middle of 2019. Before that, I built Mageplaza – the most popular extension builder for Magento 2 – for 6 years. It can be said that AVADA Commerce is a child which is inheriting all of Mageplaza’s elite and experiences over the years.

I realized a potential opportunity in the very dynamic market: Shopify. Also, I witnessed a lot of Shopify merchants who are struggling building their stores, and making their dreams come true because of a little budget or a lack of technical knowledge, etc. As a result, I tried to draw the most simple, saving and ultimate app development plans then started to build them with my team. AVADA Commerce mission at the beginning: Helping 1 million merchants to grow their businesses”.

Looking At AVADA’s Customer Service

I asked Sam about AVADA’s level of customer care and he highlighted the many, many, positive reviews on the Shopify App store which are testament to the high level of satisfaction amongst customers. Here’s what told me:

“If you open any AVADA app on Shopify App Store – the biggest and only market for selling Shopify apps, you will see how customers love our support services. Most of the reviews there do say that they did experience awesome customer services. And we can always be proud that this is the biggest strength of AVADA.

Right from the beginning of the company, I realize that a strong customer service will bring customers wow experiences and increase returning clients. So I put a lot of time into recruiting and training our support team, including customer success, technical support and core developers. We do every week training and usually learn from other success companies to improve day by day. That’s how our team keeps the great support services for years”.

When I asked Sam what aspect of AVADA he is most proud of, he had some really great things to say about the team he works with:

“There is no second thought about this question for me: It’s people. Yes, it is exactly our amazing team, who put a lot of effort, focus and their enthusiasm into their work. I love every single person in my team and respect them. For the toughest moments, they still spend time with me and help customers to grow, which I cannot say thank them enough”.

AVADA Is Looking To The Future

Like any great business, the AVADA team have some definitive goals in mind that they continually work towards. Sam explained his plans for the future of AVADA:

“Keeping the mission of AVADA in mind: helping 1 mil merchants grow their businesses, AVADA is focusing on the biggest project now: AVADA Email Marketing. This is an SAAS product for multiple platforms and currently we are serving Shopify and Magento 2 stores already.

AVADA Email Marketing allows you to send Automation emails/SMS, Newsletter emails/SMS and collect leads by Popup, Spin to win as well as manage your customer data like an CRM system. It is promised to bring an ultimate and saving solution for any online shop who wants to sell more via email marketing”.
